Photography has been an important tool for Aser But first as a recording means during research stage and then as a creative means recently. He is particularly fond of black and white photography at his early stage. Gradually, through lens he is more able to focus himself on colours when depicting natural and environmental themes.

Most recently, he pays more attention to abstract representations of his love towards Hong Kong and Macau, the twin cities in his heart. He is one of the founding members of Macau Digital Photography Association established in 2003.
