Introduction to this website

This website contains a visual record of my thirty years of journey as  an artist- designer and as a teacher, and then a Professor in Hong Kong and Macau. Through more than 33 years of art-related activities, I have maintained my cultural identity as an 'East meets West' artist and designer in both Hong Kong and Macau. The main reason of setting up this website is: to strengthen the relationship with my family, friends, fellow-artists and designers, art patrons, and my students in both Hong Kong and Macau.

Without practising art and design education, my life will never be lived to its full. Thanks to God for his mighty blessing.

You are welcome to view my new ceramic works available for viewing in the section GITO Ceramics Workshop.

My latest paintings are contained in the section Shows.

My Mission as an Artist-Teacher

To choose one between art and education, I have chosen the ‘combination’. Art teaching and the practice of art, since 1970,  has been part of my life. Since then, I had changed from an ordinary classroom teacher to someone with hope and target. Alongside my growth as an artist, I met experts in the field of visual arts, among whom are those I followed and learned to practise drawing, painting, claywork and graphic design. I also met educationists both in Hong Kong and abroad who taught me to aim high as a teacher. To all these people, including my parents and other family members, and mentors, I owe them sincere thanks. I am, without any doubts, very grateful to the Mighty God and I know, with all these blessings in the past thirty years, I have a very happy family and owned a strong mission in teaching art with utmost care and love as a Christian and in serving the community both in Hong Kong and elsewhere as an ordinary person.

For the year 2007, more efforts will be put into my creative works, which will be in clay and in acrylics. Please note the changes of information in the section of Last News Update.
